Divorce

Do children ever recover
In spite of a peaceful end to marriage
Very resilient children are experts say
Only how do they really know because
Really a tender heart is broken
Crushed and shattered
Etched with faces of both parents together

Very nice description of the consequences of Divorce. I liked how you used the beginning letter of divorce for each beginning letter of the verse.

Nicely penned acrostic. I would hope humans are capable of healing from this hurt.

Ah yes, the moments of realization... and how will their world survive. But this becomes the opportunity to blend two new worlds centered always around them.
