Nothing Is Written In Stone (Prompt from Baron)

We say, "nothing is written in stone"...

Except death.

Death is written in stone;
beloved wife-father-son-daughter.

The sleep of the dead,
under cold marbled stone - death
There it is written in stone

He who holds the Book Of Life
has the "Key" to release death,
to erase the chiseled words written in stone.

Undoing the eternal sleep,
so it's true...

"Nothing is Written in Stone"

Thanks for the prompt. That came to mind as I sat at the lake today I was sitting at a cement table and thought how cold and lifeless this feels, like death.

Only thing caught was a little perch not even worth keeping lol. It was great being out though.

Nature, air, water and food, what else could a person want. LOL. Have a great weekend

Blogs are certainly not written in stone! More like 'on the wind' I wonder how long they'll last!

Really good, Missy. I liked the way it immediately brought images to mind, while being poignant as well.

I just finished reading and watching The TIme Traveler's Wife, so my idea of destiny and free will is all messed up. I'm in recuperation mode.

Venus66 - Thank you so much. Fall is upon us. I love the changes it brings even though it seems harsh the way the landscapes change, still it brings forth renewal in the Spring
